The Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) Activity Assay Kit provides a sensitive and simple method for the detection of G6PD activity in various samples. During the assay, G6PD oxidizes glucose-6-phosphate in the presence of NADP+ to generate NADPH, which is subsequently amplified by a diaphorase-cycling system to produce highly fluorescent resorufin molecules. The resulting fluorescence is directly proportional to the G6PD activity in the sample and can be measured using a plate reader at approximately 540 nm excitation and 590 nm emission.
